The other day Nanners was supposed to be rewriting her story. I came back to check on her about 15 minutes after she started and this is what I found. Apparently she made it about 2 sentences in and decided a nap was in order.
Mommy's daily distraction where she talks about the adventures of a large, homeschooling, bargin hunting, craft making, internet loving family.

Couponing
I am a couponer (let's pretend that's a real word, okeedohkee). I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm a good couponer and definitely not an extreme couponer, but a couponer none the less. I'm attracted by the great deals, the savings and the fact that I've always like to get a bargain or two.
When I first started I watched blogs and tried to figure the whole thing out. I did this for about a month, before I jumped. I would go out with my list broken down into transactions and ready to spend pennies.
My research had paid off and I scored some awesome deals, I was totally hooked. I started building a stockpile of my bargain buys. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, shampoo, diaper and Windex just to name a few of the great things I had on my "stockpile shelf" in the garage.
I couponed faithfully for a month or two, then I fell of the wagon. I wore myself out trying to get it all in. I haven't really been couponing since. Over the holiday weekend the girls and I sat and organized the last few months worth of Sunday paper inserts and fixed up my coupon binder. I have now tried the binder method, the accordion file method and the box method. I keep coming back to the binder. A friend of mine and I have a running joke, our binder is "precious", a la' Lord of the Rings.
I'm so proud of the hours we spent getting it together. I'll have to blog about my bargain buys now. :) I know you can't wait.
